ACTA: What They Don’t Tell You
Not worried about foreign legislature? Get worried. If you thought SOPA and PIPA were bad check out the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), which was first proposed back in June of 2008, but hasn’t actually become an large standing issue until December 3, 2011 when the final drafts of the bill were created. ACTA is a proposed plurilateral agreement for the purpose of establishing international standards on intellectual property rights enforcement. What is ACTA in laymen’s terms?

If you’ve been online at all today and you aren’t completely daft then I’m sure you’ve seen the black block out banners above and across certain websites, the 503 errors and sometimes humorous albeit inappropriate message on ‘going dark’. The war between the internet and the Government has hit the ground running and me thinks the internet is on the winning side.

Senator McCain’s Imperfections Spur on Young Voters
I was sitting in Political Science class the other day and a debate between two students about the presidential candidates caught my attention. I turned in their direction; because let’s face it I’m nosey by nature, to listen in on what they were saying. A comment the girl made about Senator John McCain caught my attention.
