Book Description:

Elizabeth DeVille doesn't belong at a party like this—one where the gowns cost more than her Camry and cigars run higher than her grad school utility bills. Dragged out of seclusion by her best friend Suri, Elizabeth is merely playing dress-up, rubbing elbows with a crowd that banished her troubled family years ago.

Hunter West is tired. Tired of parties, tired of pretending, and tired of trying to right a wrong that haunts him every day. Bourbon heir and professional poker player by day, by night Hunter is gambling with his life in a high-stakes game of crime and blackmail.

When Elizabeth stumbles into Hunter's den of vices, she's a light in the darkness, a flame in the void. And, just like everything he touches, Hunter mars her in a record time. To rectify the damage done, Elizabeth needs money she doesn't have, and she's come up with a foolproof way to get it.

Follow Elizabeth—code-named Scarlett—to the lush Nevada brothel where she'll auction her virginity and risk the only thing that's not for sale: her heart. The highest bidder is a familiar face, with wicked hands and the devil's mouth. And a secret so dark that it could cost her life.

Hunter West is a sexy beast. It needed to be said.

Now that I got that off my chest, we can commence with the book reviewing. Selling Scarlett was quite a bit different than I thought it was going to be, but I think that’s a good thing. I loved this book, loved it. I got my copy from Inkslinger PR and Ella James in exchange for an honest review.

Selling Scarlett follows 23-year-old Elizabeth DeVille, heiress of the DeVille fortune, or lack thereof. Her Mother’s an addict who spent Elizabeth’s childhood in and out of rehab. Her Father left her and her Mother for his knew family and she’s pretty much destitute, doing her best to get by on what she can.

*I received this ARC from Inkspell

Book Description:

Millennia ago, he fell from heaven for her.

Can he face her without falling again?

Fascinated with ancient civilizations, seventeen-year-old Mia Crawford dreams of becoming an archaeologist. She also dreams of wings—soft and silent like snow—and somebody trying to steal them.

When a horrible creature appears out of thin air and attacks her, she knows Michael Fontaine is involved, though he claims to know nothing about it. Secretive and aloof, Michael evokes feelings in Mia that she doesn’t understand. Images of another time and place haunt her. She recognizes them—but not from any textbook.

In search of the truth, Mia discovers a past life of forbidden love, jealousy and revenge that tore an angel from Heaven and sent her to an early grave. Now that her soul has returned, does she have a chance at loving that angel again? Or will an age-old nemesis destroy them both?

Ancient history is only the beginning.

I love this book!

I want to draw pink fluffy hearts around this book. When I was originally approached by Inkspell Publishing about reviewing an ARC of The Watcher I said yes because the cover is simply breathtaking. It might be silly to literally judge a book by its cover, but it’s always the first thing that I notice. Plus who doesn’t love angels? I mean really hot godlike creatures with wings? I’m swooning as I write this.

Book Description:

For Lily Drake, slaying vampires is easy...Dating them is the hard part.

Lily Drake is your everyday hard-working single mom…until a gorgeous vampire shows up on her front door who she mistakenly assumes is her blind date for the evening. As one crazy scenario after another unfolds, Lily finds herself falling in love with two vampires, slaying the evil ones, and being prophesied as the savior of the entire undead race.

Deciding between pizza and Chinese take-out will no longer be one of the hard decisions facing Lily Drake once she is emerged into vampire society. Humanity or immortality? That doesn't hold a candle against this question - which of the two handsome vampire cousins?

The Life and Death of Lily Drake is not your typical vampire love story. It’s a tale about the humorous mistakes a woman makes simply trying to survive not only life, but the dating scene. How will Lily manage working full-time, taking care of her young son and fighting the undead at every turn? Lily will have to figure it out, but who better to save the world than a mom?

The Life and Death of Lily Drake by T. Michelle Nelson was awesome in a completely unexpected way. I’m a fan of vampire book in general so when I first picked up this book I was super excited. It turns out that this wasn’t anything like what I thought it would be like and yet it was still really awesome!

The Life and Death of Lily Drake is about a single Mom named Lily who goes about her days working and taking care of her 12-year-old son, Keaton. Her best and only true friend, Angie sets her up on a blind date and instead of going out with blind date guy; she ends up accidentally going out with Mathis, sexy vampire extraordinaire.
