Book Description:

After a year of partying, Sam decides to buckle down and focus on college. Things are going great until a one-night stand leaves her pregnant and alone.

Raising a child while going to school isn’t easy, but Sam is determined to be strong for her daughter. She doesn’t have time for guys or relationships, and takes great care to protect her child and her heart.

Judd doesn’t fit the mold of a college ballplayer. His long hair and tattoos may fit the life he’s created for himself, but baseball is the one thing he takes seriously. When he meets Sam, he’s immediately drawn to her curves and refusal to put up with his crap. When Judd learns the truth, can he handle the responsibility that comes with loving a single mother?

Sam yearns for the fire that Judd fuels in her, but her child’s needs have to come first. Can two people at different stages in their life find a way to make a life together?

I am constantly saying this about fictional characters, but I want my very own Judd!

I genuinely loved this story. Indelible by Bethany Lopez follows Samantha, Sam for short as she raises her 2-year-old daughter while going to school full-time, working and attempting to have a life for herself. Sam isn’t exactly the relationship type that is until she meets Judd, sexy bad boy baseball player, but a good guy at heart.

I think Lopez did an amazing job of capturing what life as a single Mother is like. Things aren’t always unicorns and rainbows. There are bad days, days where you feel like you want to tear your hair out of your head and we get to see that. But we also get to see the good moments that Sam has with her daughter and her close friends.

Let’s talk about Judd. I think what I love most about him (outside of his sexiness, tattoos and motorcycle) is his ability to be honest with Sam. Sure he was a player but his feelings for Sam were genuine and I love how they grew close so quickly because honestly relationships and connections are built quickly in life.

I am also incredibly glad that Lopez found a solid realistic conflict that Judd and Sam had to work through. So many authors toss in characters getting angry at each other for stupid reasons or because they have one won’t listen to the other explain and nonsense like that. But I genuinely understood their conflict here and I understand why things went the way they did.

I loved reaching all of the moments the Judd shared with Sam and her daughter and this might have been one of the sweetest stories I’ve ever read. I’m not going to lie; I cried big slobbery happy tears with this one and I absolutely recommend this story. It was beautiful story about overcoming the odds and finding love when you least expect it. Something that I can totally get behind!
