Banned Book Week Giveaway Hop

Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. Held during the last week of September, it highlights the value of free and open access to information. Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community –- librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types –- in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.

This year Banner Book week goes from September 21-27. I don't believe in censorship of the media, which is one of the reasons why I think celebrating Banned Book week is so important! So in honor of Banned Book Week below is a giveaway for you to enter.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Enjoy and don't forget to check out the rest of the blogs on the hop! :)

  1. I haven't real a lot of banned books yet, but my favourites so far were The Hunger Games and Harry Potter! :) It's quite stupid to ban those, in my opinion, because they're really great books and you can learn so much from them.

I wouldn't say that I have a favourite "banned book"--because I think that being banned is as incidental to the quality and value of a book as being misunderstood is incidental to the opinions and actions of a person--but the one that always comes to mind when this week rolls around is The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier. Thanks for the giveaway!
